Afgooye General Hospital

Afgooye General Hospital

Afgooye General Hospital was a referal hospital for many areas of Shabeelada Hoose communities. Its mordern buildings and facilities now lie in ruins and both domestic animals and their owners now occupy many areas of it. Threes and brush have since grown all over the compound and paperbags, broken furniture and twisted metal are strewn all over. Efforts to rehabilitate these facilities have come to naught because of the reluctance by the occupiers of the city who consider anything and all things that do not either come from them or directly benefit to allow them. This hospital and the community it formerly served have seen better days.

This Mosque was built with assistance of funds by the Government and people of the Emirate of Kuwait. It has been in a dare state of disreoair for a long time and efforts to repair it has been hampered by the bureaucratic red-tape imposed by the new Rulers of the District. All economic or other inputs by any individual or institution must first be approved and cleared by the coloniserof the District. Approvals can only be obtaied after a certain percentage of the import is skimed away by the warlords controlling all aspects of public life.
